We ever try to improve our service, so Tournride is delivering bikes to St. Jean Pied de Port (start the Camino in France). Many pilgrims were asking us for this service, as they were interested on riding from this small Pirenaic village in France. So this year Tournride makes it possible. In spite of the price increase (+30 € to St. Jean Pied de Port), it really worths it, being one of the most beautiful stages on the Camino. As usual, the pilgrim must inform at the hotel about the arrival of the bicycle. The cost of receiving the bicycle in the hotel is for free but Albergue Gite Compostella will ask you 5€ for the service if you sleep there and 8€ if you don’t. This is not a Tournride service, and so you must pay that amount there, at the hotel. Something quite similar happens in Hotel Roncesvalles, where you can receive the bike there for free if you are going to stay the night there, and you must pay 7€ if you don’t.
To choose St. Jean Pied de Port as ‘Pick up location’, type Roncesvalles (Orreaga) on the Hire bike tab. After that, on Step 3, choose St. Jean Pied de Port (Only in Hotel) option. The system will show you the correct shipping charges. If it doesn’t, please, e-mail us to info@tournride.com
UPDATE: Saint Jean Pied de Port can be selected by typing St. Jean, Saint Jean or France. 😉
